One could complain that college is too expensive, but there are numerous forms of financial aid, scholarships, and grants available. So what is the big deal? Dennis Ahlburg (President of Trinity University) believes that the importance of college should not be overlooked and is â€Å"well worth it.† But, if students are not taking these resources seriously are they actually helping? Vegan vs vegetarian free essay sample

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been out with family or friends and have had to respond to this statement: â€Å"You eat eggs and cheese? I thought you were a vegetarian!† Of course, that results in a long discussion about the differences between a standard vegetarian and a strict vegan diet. But, I can see the confusion for people that do not follow a meat-free diet. After all, there are many similarities between vegans and vegetarians. In fact, these similarities far outweigh the diet differences. Health benefits and motivations for vegan and vegetarian diets are very similar, with only minor differences in eating habits distinguishing the two. The reasons behind a vegetarian or vegan diet are different for each and every person. However, a general study of people who choose this type of lifestyle would create a very similar list. Some people choose to become vegetarian or vegan in order to help animals and support animal rights. We will write a custom essay sample on Vegan vs vegetarian or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Others opt for a meat-free diet in order to protect their health and ensure a longer life, free of harmful chemicals and hormones. Others choose vegetarianism or veganism in order to fulfill cultural or religious beliefs, while still others choose one of these diets in order to help the environment. After all, cows (and feedlots) produce high levels of methane gas which contribute to the Greenhouse Effect and, therefore, global warming. The health benefits of vegetarian and vegan diets are also quite similar. Following a diet high in fruits, vegetables, grains, and soy is said to contribute to a healthier lifestyle where there is a lower risk for obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and cancers such as lung and colorectal. These diets are known to help lower blood pressure since the cholesterol found in animal foods is omitted. A study by Loma Linda University says that vegans and vegetarians live longer than people following a meat diet, with  vegetarians living approximately seven years longer and vegans living fifteen years longer than other people. Also, due to the antioxidants rich in plant foods, vegetarians and vegans are known to have healthy skin. Of course, vegetarian and vegan diets are different by definition and lifestyle. Standard vegetarians do not eat meat but often do consume cheese, yogurt, eggs and milk. (There are many different types of vegetarians, however, and some people eat only eggs, but not cheese, or eat fish but no red meat). Vegans, though, do not eat any animal products, including dairy. Some even do not eat foods produced with yeast, such as bread. Vegans are often more strict about the exploitation of animals and protest more against zoos and pet stores. Vegetarians and vegans are two separate entities that have a lot in common. Though vegans follow a stricter diet, both diets are known to have similar health benefits. People who follow vegan or vegetarian diets are known to live longer than people who eat meat and are less likely to die from heart disease, diabetes, or cancer. People who choose these diets often opt to live this way due to reasons such as animal rights, health choices, or cultural beliefs. Thesis statement: This essay is a compare and contrast essay that shows the similarities between vegetarian and vegan diets. The thesis of this essay is that the two diets are similar in philosophy and health benefits, as shown in the statement: Health benefits and motivations for vegan and vegetarian diets are very similar, with only minor differences in eating habits distinguishing the two. This essay lists the health benefits existing in both vegetarian and vegan diets and also the reasons many people choose one of the two diets. The essay also reminds readers that vegans and vegetarians are different, as their eating habits vary slightly.

Acting Perhaps one of the most thought of questions that goes through ones head in a lifetime may be what drives a person to become an actor. Well, it could be imagination, a love, or just desire to stand out. When one desires to stand out they usually want to be in the light, and the stage is a great place to start. Usually a person of this stature was always entertaining or performing for friends and family member, thy have humor and it is most likely well developed and focused. The people who love the art are usually the ones who care and understand it the most. Perhaps they can be considered the scarifiers, the one who will do anything to make the audience laugh, cry, and giggle, feel solemn, angry, and happiness. Their love for acting make them who they are and they don't even have to try. The ones who love acting become their character in a performance. Usually become actors because it comes easy to them, of course, their feet must get wet into acting for them to even begin to see their hidden talent. Once in a theatre, imaginers, if you will, are character in actors shoes, instead of actors in characters shoes. They have high concentration that is not easy to break. In fact, most usually become their character a week or so before a play. As one can see, these tree examples are just a few reasons why people become actors or actresses. Shakespeares Twelfth Night a play in the genre of comedy Essays

Shakespeares Twelfth Night a play in the genre of comedy Essays Shakespeares Twelfth Night a play in the genre of comedy Paper Shakespeares Twelfth Night a play in the genre of comedy Paper Essay Topic: Twelfth Night However, within the play, arguably t the heart of it, there are other themes such as confusion and misunderstanding which lead to the question Of whether foolishness is truly at the heart of the play and if there are other themes to consider. Twelfth Night begins to suggest that foolishness and triviality will be at the centre of the play from the beginning due to the many contextual connotations it has relating to the Elizabethan festival, also known as the Feast of Fools. From this reference, the audience can already begin to predict hat not only will there be foolish behavior, but from the word feast they can deduct that there will in fact be a surplus. The festival Twelfth Night occurs annually on the 5th of January where food and drink are typically at the centre of celebrations but I rather think it consists of eating and drinking. Foolish behavior can be expected to result from this over indulgence and is clearly exhibited in Sir Toby and Sir Andrew who are foolish drunkards throughout come so early of this lethargy, resulting in some linguistic moody as well as well as many opportunities for physical comedy as a result of foolish behavior. Furthermore, the historical connotations related with Twelfth Night, similarly confirm that foolishness lies at the heart of the play as the Twelfth Night festival involved a large amount of role reversal, this too can be related to the play. Role reversal during the festival, commonly took place between people of vastly different classes; usually between someone of a lower class with that of a much higher status. Within Twelfth Night, Viola rockers to disguise herself as Corsair, a man. This class exchange is evident within the play as due to the patriarchal conventions of the time, men were seen of a much higher class than women. During the Elizabethan period, any role reversal of the sort would have caused considerable controversy and to the audience may have seemed exceedingly foolish, consequently portraying Viola as a fool, throughout the play; thus it could be argued that foolishness is present constantly and therefore at the heart of the play. Dramatic irony created from this foolish misconception further creates humor through-out as the audience is aware of Violas true identity, l am not what am, and the characters appear to be oblivious and completely unaware of the truth, hence creating more fatuous impressions of the characters.

Vector Theorems Math Problem Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Vector Theorems - Math Problem Example Since we have a medial triangle DEF as shown above, for convenience we draw the same triangle separately as shown below. Here D (a, 0, 0), E (0, b, 0), and F (0, 0, c) be the vertices of medial triangle while N is the centroid of the triangle. By distance formula, N has the coordinates as (a/3, b/3, c/3). Let D†² be the mid-point of EF, therefore its coordinates will be (0, b/2, c/2). Now we find the distance between N and D†². Similarly 2 E†²N = EN, and 2 F†²N = FN. Thus, it means that the centroid is located two thirds of the way from the original vertex to the midpoint of the opposite side of the triangle. Now, since we have a triangle ABC and E is the middle point of BC, and P is the centroid of ABC. Therefore, by using above theorem we have OP = OA + 2/3 AE. Now we will find the centroid of ABC. Now we will find the centroid of DEF. Let Q = centroid of DEF = OQ = OD + 2/3 DM/ From above equation no.2 and equation no.3 it is evident that P=Q. Thus it has been proved that the centroid of the triangle ABC is equal to the centroid of medial triangle DEF
